SBG Idaho Has Successful Weekend At Oregon Open

Combat Fitness/SBG Idaho also had 7 other grapplers competing a few states away at the Oregon Open in Hillsboro this past Saturday, Sept. 13. It was another successful day, with the guys earning 4 golds, 2 silvers, 1 bronze medal and a Fastest Submission trophy! Also, SBG Northwest (Montana, Portland, Seattle and Idaho) was able to capture 3 of 4 team championships, winning the Adult Overall, Youth Overall, Adult Nogi. SBG finished 3rd in Adult Gi.

Mike Getchell: Gold, Adult Blue Belt, Middleweight

Scott Thometz: Silver, Adult Brown Belt, Lightweight; Bronze, Adult Brown Belt, Absolute

Jesse Brock: Gold, Adult Purple Belt, Featherweight; Gold, Adult Advanced Nogi, Featherweight; Silver, Adult Advanced Nogi, Absolute

Noah Shultz: Gold, Junior Intermediate Nogi, Light Featherweight (Noah also earned the Fastest Submission award for his 15 sec guillotine in his very first match!)
