Fighting Van Hooses, Wick Set For Muay Thai Bouts In Japan

BOM

Combat Fitness/SBG Idaho athletes, Shino, Hunter, and Kojiro Van Hoose, along with Josh Wick, will all compete in Muay Thai bouts this weekend in the land of the Rising Sun.

On July 19th, at Innovation Muay Thai in Yokohama, Shino will return to the ring after a 15-month layoff due to injury, when she takes on an opponent named Emi in a professional bout.

Later that night, in Tokyo, at Battle of Muay Thai (BOM) 9, Kojiro and Josh will be competing in Class A amateur bouts. After suffering a decision loss two weekends ago in the second round of the Muay Thai Open in Tokyo, Koji looks to bounce back against an opponent named Asahi. Josh will be making his international fighting debut against a yet to be named opponent.

In the BOM 9 main event, Hunter will face Japan’s WPMF (World Professional Muay Thai Federation) Super Bantam Weight Champion, Masaki Takeuchi, in a 3 round, non-title fight. This is a huge fight for Hunter as he continues his climb up the professional Muay Thai ranks!

Best of skill to all our athletes representing SBGi overseas!!!
