The best MMA promotion in the Pacific Northwest, Front Street Fights, is back on August 9, and as always, SBG Idaho is well represented. FSF 9 will take place at CenturyLink Arena in Boise, ID.
In the night’s main event, SBG Idaho Black Belt and coach, Scott Thometz (10-5), will take to the cage against Utah’s David Castillo (19-8), for the first-ever FSF lightweight (155 lb) title. A winner in four of his last five bouts, Thometz will look to continue the momentum from his most recent victory at Bellator 155 last May. The veteran Castillo enters the contest following a failed bid at the RFA lightweight belt last February.
In the co-main event, rising prospect, Matthew Jones (4-2) takes on Eastern Idaho’s Kerry Lattimer (5-10). Jones looks to rebound from a narrow decision loss last February for the FSF Featherweight title, when he faces off with the always exciting and gritty Lattimer, who is 4-0 at featherwight.
