SBG Idaho Coaches Jesse Brock and Jake Martinez will be looking to break in their new black belts at Submission Underground 6, presented by Chael Sonnen, live from the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon, December 3rd! Brock will be taking on SUG vet and 10th Planet Brown Belt, Phill Schwartz, while Martinez will be taking on Black Belt, Fight to Win Pro and SUG vet, Phil Dunlap. Also on the card will be SBG Idaho Purple Belt and Coach, Shino VanHoose, taking on Brown Belt, UFC vet and WMMA pioneer, Lisa Ellis, as well as young gun Grey Belt, Cash Burgess versus Cian Nelson in a teen match. Brock, Martinez, and VanHoose’s matches will be no-gi, submission-only matches with a 8 minute time limit and Eddie Bravo Invitational-style overtime rules if no submissions happen within the time allotted. Burgess will be competing in an 8 minute gi match, with similar overtime rules.
Submission Underground is a fantastic event that has included many other SBG athletes and we look forward to seeing ours show their skill. The main card features many top grapplers and MMA champions, and will be broadcast live on FloGrappling.com. Our team will be joining SBG PDX athletes Eddie Ziegler and Ella Prevost in what is sure to be an exciting night of submission grappling!
