From regional shows to some of the biggest stages in the world, 2018 was another active one for SBG Idaho athletes and 2019 promises to be just as great! 2019 kicks off for our MMA team Saturday, January 26 with Mountain Force MMA 7! The Mountain View Events Center in Pocatello, Idaho will see Ben Hollier and David Akers enter the cage for another exciting night of mixed martial arts!
Hollier (3-2 MMA, 1-0 MTF) looks to get back to his winning ways in a Bantamweight Championship bout against JohnBoy McComas. This fight is a rematch of their controversial encounter on FSF 12 back in May 2017. Hollier has been hard at work expanding his game, and recently earned his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blue Belt! Hollier looks forward to not only getting the win back, but also bringing some hardware back home in the process! David Akers (1-3 MMA, 0-0 MTF) takes on Aaron Jennings in what is sure to be an exciting matchup at 125 pounds. Akers is constantly training and improving and we can’t wait to see him show off his full potential next month!
