We are incredibly excited to announce our first ever Gorilla Cup Fight Night on Saturday, April 23!
Gorilla Cup events in the past have been primarily reserved for BJJ students, but with the recent growth and popularity of our Muay Thai and Boxing programs, we wanted to let our striking students put on a show and have some fun!
The event will be structured like a traditional fight card, with matchups put together by your coaches according to experience level, age, and weight. Fights will be either traditional Muay Thai, kickboxing, or boxing, with every fight consisting of 3, 2 minute rounds. All bouts will be unscored exhibitions, but athletes will get the experience of a live, music-filled walk-out, a ring announcer, coaches in their corners, and a referee overseeing the action!
Tickets will be available for purchase – $10 standing room, $20 floor, and $100 ringside table (seats 5). Doors open at 4pm, fights begin at 5pm.This will be a great opportunity for everyone, from our seasoned competitors all the way to new students looking to try out competition for the first time in a low-stress, friendly environment. The entry fee for competitors is $40, and all funds raised will go to support the Gorilla Booster Club of Idaho, a non-profit designed to help SBG Idaho athletes of all ages and backgrounds enhance their martial arts journey through the experience of competition! So bring the whole family and make a night of it cheering our students on as they perform in front of a live audience!!!
