In our effort to continually bring world-class training and instruction to our mats, we are excited to announce SBG SoCal coaches Marco and Beto Sanchez will be visiting Boise for a 2-day BJJ seminar May 17 & 18!
Coach Marco, owner and head coach of SBG SoCal, has been training BJJ for over 17 years. He has taught in Japan, Europe, and thoughout the US. Coach Marco began his training with Cobrinha and Team Alliance before earning his black belt under both Matt Thornton and Chris Haueter. He also runs one of the largest LEO BJJ programs in the country, bringing his structured, problem-solving brand of BJJ to those who need it most.
Coach Beto is the head of SBG SoCal’s MMA program and brings 15 years of experience across multiple martial arts disciplines. A BJJ black belt under Matt Parks and Marco Sanchez, Coach Beto has trained with world champions Lucas Leite, Marcelo Mafra, and Marcelo Louzad. He has also tested his skills in both BJJ and MMA. As a coach, he prides himself on developing well-rounded fighters with strong fundamentals, sharp strategy, and the ability to apply their skills under real pressure.
This seminar will also serve as a fundraising effort for the SBG SoCal students who were displaced during the recent California wildfires. Many families in that area are still without their homes and struggling to find stability. There will be an open mat immediately following Sunday’s seminar where all are welcome to come get some great rolls and donate to a worthy cause!
The seminar will run from 10am-noon both Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $80 for 1 day and $100 for both. Call, CLICK, or stop by to register and/or make a fundraising donation!
