July 6-9, 2017, SBG Idaho Athletes descended to Henderson, Nevada for the American National IBJJF Jiu Jitsu Championship. The group consisted of SBG Black Belt Head Coach Scott Thometz, Purple Belts Stephanie Hernandez and Stephen Stirewalt, SBG Idaho Kids Coach Parker Bossart and White Belt Riley Timmons. Timmons took home her 2nd IBJJF Medal after taking Bronze at the IBJJF World Championships earlier this year with a Gold Medal in her White Belt, Heavy Weight Gi division. Coach Parker Bossart also had a strong showing, taking Bronze in his Blue Belt, Super Heavyweight Gi division after a hard fought match! Although our other competitors did not medal, they showed great skill and determination in their matches and gained experience that is going to only make them better going forward!
