Combat Fitness/SBG Idaho athlete Veta Arteaga returned to her winning ways Saturday night, picking up a 3rd round TKO victory over Danielle Donaldson at Steelfist Fight Night in Farmington, UT.
Veta relied heavily on her superior grappling skills to earn the victory against her taller opponent. Scoring takedowns in every round, Veta was able to achieve full mount numerous times throughout the fight. Donaldson fought hard and was able to free herself several times, even gaining top position briefly after a missed armbar attempt by Arteaga. In the end, Arteaga’s attack over the course of the fight was too much and the fight was stopped in the 3rd.
