Idaho’s premier MMA organization returns to Century Link Arena in the heart of downtown Boise, Idaho on May 12, 2017. The event will be headlined by a Bantamweight Title fight featuring SBG Idaho’s own Jesse Brock! Brock (22-9) was originally scheduled to face BJJ black belt Fabio Serrao, but an unfortunate injury to Serrao scrapped those plans. With the promotion looking to secure a replacement very soon, Brock plans to continue his undefeated streak in the FSF cage and take home some hardware in the process!
The co-main event features SBG Idaho featherweight Matt Jones (5-2) who returns to the cage after his unanimous decision victory over Kerry Lattimer last August at FSF 9. He will take on a tough customer in Carson Frei in a match up that is sure to have some fireworks!
Rounding out the professional card will be SBG Idaho newcomer Brandon Todd (3-0), who takes on the always tough Michael Garcia in a lightweight bout.
The amateur undercard features two FSF vets in Kyle Frost (2-0) and Benjamin Hollier (1-0), and the MMA debut of Coach Noah Schultz!
Frost and Hollier look to follow up on dominant performances from their last FSF appearances. Frost floored Aldyn Ashcroft in just 7 seconds into their bout at FSF 11 and aims to continue his winning ways against Christopher Schell in a welterweight bout. In his MMA debut, Hollier dominated Vincent DeLaFuente from bell to bell in a unanimous decision victory at FSF 10, and looks for more of the same against John McComas in a bantamweight scrap.
Coach Schultz has been training with us since he was a kid and has been a big part of the growth of our Growing Gorillas kids program. We look forward to him putting his skills to the test in his first MMA bout when he takes on Justin McCormick in a flyweight matchup!
