SBG Idaho athletes showed up big at the Shoshone-Bannock Chiefs Event Center in Fort Hall, Idaho, Saturday, June 17th. In the night’s main event, SBG Idaho BJJ Black Belt, Coach Scott Thometz (11-6 MMA) showed dominant grappling and control, submitting Kerry Lattimer (5-11 MMA) in the second round of their 3 round bout. In other professional action that night, Andrew Cruz (4-2 MMA) dropped a split decision to Alaska’s Vince Fricilone (7-0 MMA) in a close, back and forth battle. In the night’s 2nd amateur bout, Stephanie Hernandez returned from a nearly 2 year hiatus to defeat Dana Hernandez in a dominant 3 round decision. Unfortunately, Kyle Aslami’s opponent withdrew from their contest, minutes before the fight, leaving Aslami unable to compete. We look forward to Kyle making his debut in the near future.

A big thanks to all of the hard work put in by our fighters and coaches! Regardless of the outcomes, the skill, dedication and determination displayed, is a testament to the culture of our gym and organization!!!
