SBG Idaho coach and Bellator MMA Flyweight, Veta Arteaga (3-2 MMA, 2-2 Bellator), looks to return to her winning ways when she takes on Bellator veteran Emily Ducote (6-4 MMA, 4-3 Bellator) at Bellator 202. The 3-round Women’s Flyweight contest goes down July 13 from the Winstar World Resort and Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma.Both women are looking to bounce back from close, split decision losses in their last outings. Ducote, a former Bellator Women’s Flyweight title challenger, dropped a decision to Kristina Williams at Bellator 195, while Arteaga dropped a narrow decision to Bruna Ellen at Bellator 182. During her 1o month layoff, Arteaga has been hard at work refining every aspect of her game, while also helping develop the next generation of SBG Idaho Growing Gorillas. Arteaga looks to put her new skills to use when she attempts to silence the Oklahoma-based Ducote’s hometown crowd. The main card will be shown live on the Paramount Network, and is headlined by a Bellator Women’s Featherweight Championship fight featuring Champion Julia Budd taking on former IBJJF World Champion Talita Nogueira!
