SBG Idaho Brown Belt and professional mixed martial artist, Andrew “Hurricane” Cruz is back in the cage this Wednesday, March 15 for Combat Zone 79 at the Encore Casino in Everett, MA.
The current FSF Featherweight Champion and all-action fighter, Cruz (8-4 MMA, 0-0 CZ) takes on Connor “The Controller” Matthews (5-1 MMA, 0-0 CZ) in the evening’s main event! Cruz’s last bout was a dominant submission victory over One FC veteran, Kevin Chung at Stellar Fights 47 nearly 18 months ago. Cruz then went on a yearlong deployment as a Bradley Commander in Syria before returning stateside to pick up where he left off climbing the MMA ranks!
This should be a fast-paced, exciting fight between two high level martial artists. This fight has also garnered some national attention, as Dana White’s Lookin’ For a Fight Crew will be cageside at the event scouting new UFC talent. We can’t wait to watch Andrew showcase all his hard work and take the next step in his career!
