In our continued efforts to offer the highest quality training and expand the knowledge of our students and staff, SBG Idaho is excited to announce a Muay Thai seminar with 3-time World Champion, Ognjen Topic! This training event will be hosted at the gym and run from 10am-noon, both Saturday and Sunday, December 6 & 7.
Born in Bosnia, Topic’s family emigrated to the US when he was 9 years old. Living in New Jersey, Topic first began training in Tae Kwon Do, where he earned his Black Belt. At 18 he happened upon Muay Thai while watching ESPN and was immediately drawn to the style. He found a Muay Thai gym near his home and began training. The rest, as they say, is history.
Topic had his first fight in 2005, after 2 years of training, and quickly rose through the ranks. In 2013 he quit his job to focus on fighting professionally full time. Throughout his prolific career he earned titles at Omnoi Stadium, Lion Fights, IKF, WBC, and WKA! In addition to being one of the best Americans to ever do it, Topic is a fantastic coach with the ability to communicate information and concepts to students of all experience and ability levels simply and effectively!
The training will cover a wide range of techniques, topics, and concepts that have been tested at the highest levels of Muay Thai competition. Game changing material, regardless of experience level! Seminar costs are $120 for both days and $100 for one day. We look forward to hosting this fantastic training event and encourage all striking students, whether you’re a brand new beginner or experienced vet, to come expand their skill set, meet new people, and have a great time!
